…”Stylist Amanda Antunes and I have collaborated on various projects in the past, and always with rewarding results. We both wanted to challenge ourselves with a project that would combine different things that we both share a passion for, the love of video as a medium, fashion, music and dance but with a bit of an edge to it.” Bob Packert
WATCH: RAW // A look behind construction
Raw was made in one take about a year ago. I had this sitting on my computer waiting to have its parts together. It was made before I even knew I was going to be married, and the reason I mention this… well…you’ll see.
I asked Bob to shoot the idea of transforming a garment on the spot without actual sewing materials. I used scissors, but that’s about it. All fabrics and strips were prepared, in a way I knew what I wanted but had no idea how I was going to proceed as I only had one chance. We blasted Son Lux on speakers and got to it.
Well, here it is, with my low budget and beautiful people helping me on this. It was my first real video concept and when I was still in love with deconstruction.
Special thx to Jennifer & Stephen for standing still and not freaking out about me holding a pair of scissors near you.
