I’m starting a Tumblr blog/website with my friend Vanessa Sena, a visual artist from my hometown in Brazil, called “COLEDORAS” - about art, fashion, inspiration and culture. Unifying our love for everything between Brazil & USA.

Regarding FASHION
I received a few emails and messages by followers asking about trends, fashion and my opinion. So I decided to respond them all at once here (note: this is just my opinion, I respect and have friends in the Fashion Industry that have different opinions, doesn’t mean I disregard them):
If you are an attentive d.aMa follower you’ll notice that I don’t follow trends. I never did and never will. I like to interpret fashion and create my own story and appeal to the image of the women (if you have ever read Spirited Magazine you get the idea).
I am undeniably and greatly inspired by both photographers and designers in their creative process and exhibitions, and I collect infinite magazines and books on the subject, however I look at the collection from a timeless point of view and it’s history. To me, Fashion is never about “Who?” but about “Why?”. A lot of times (almost all the time) people take the fun & true core out of fashion: everybody is all snobby and pretend its all glamourous. It’s pathetic.
I also don’t read Fashion/Style blogs, almost never. Style blogs are pretty but not interesting. I like the streets, the theater, the making of and the creation. Also, as a stylist and costume designer, I look at women getting dressed all the time, so I leave that for the professional cameras, creative editorials, magazines and books.
This tumblr is just a way to gather ideas, instruments and definitions of what I’m doing with my life and share with friends and people that are looking for some inspiration and also sharing some of their own.
I believe success is set by your own expectations and what I am and do and say is the reality within the fantasy I created since I learned the definition of both.
And most important of all, it’s intuition.
I’m a true believer that we are our own canvases. If anything, it’s up to you how to present your canvas. The minimalists will think the surrealists are fools. But that’s again, a matter of opinion.

Sneak Peek…
I had the pleasure of creating wardrobe for musician Jenee Halstead’s look, in the making of her upcoming album Art Work titled “Raised by Wolves”. Stay tuned for her release date and new record!
I had a peek at the new music and it’ll melt your heart!
ps.: It was also wonderful to work with Caleb Cole (photographer) and Maia Landi (hair&mua).

It creates a visual connection between who I am and what the others see. It makes me feel safe and secure to think that others may understand me better through the image I put forth. For me, it doesn’t depend on who I’m with or what I’m doing; dressing in a sophisticated and feminine way is something too natural for me to detach from.
